Intimate Creekside Backyard Wedding

This is the day that Shea and Scott got married….
Covid completely changed the original plans for their large dream wedding, but they switched gears and quickly planned an intimate backyard magical creekside wedding in the woods with family instead. It was an honor to be part of such a beautiful celebration, I can hardly wait to do this all over again with the original plans next year!

The bride’s Uncle custom built the arbor for the wedding.

Everyone that attended crossed the creek to sign their special handmade arbor.

Congratulations Mr. and Mrs. Duley!!! I’m so excited to celebrate your big wedding celebration at Historic Shady Lane next year!

Sun, Moon and Stars Wedding in a Private Orchard

It’s honestly hard to put this wedding into words.  The love I felt that day was pure, genuine and abundant.  Ashley and Timmy got married on a private orchard overlooking the river with their wonderful family and friends. The atmosphere was pure magic. 

   The October day started as overcast with a few sprinkles that turned into the sun popping out and casting a beautiful warm glow. Just when we thought it couldn’t get any better a rainbow came out and gave us a magic show over the river just in time for their reception.  As they partied under the stars and danced slowly to over a hundred sparklers, the moon came out in all it’s glory and was full, over the river. This was the PERFECT day for Ashley and Timmy’s sun, moon and star themed wedding.  

     Not only was the wedding full of details, they were way more meaningful.  Ashley taught herself how to hand letter and beautifully crafted every letter we saw that day.  She learned how to dye fabric and created over 200 dinner napkins.  Timmy and guys custom built the bar and so much more. Their family and friends came together to help them create a magical love celebration that I will never forget and feel blessed to be part of.  

 Congratulations Ashley and Timmy, may you always smile as much as you did on your wedding day, I know you will :)  

Ashley got ready at Timmy’s family home, then we headed over to this amazing private orchard full of hand crafted details. Look how amazing this moon is they built!

The sky started clearing up and Heaven was shining down on this wedding day, it was so magical…..

Just when we thought the day couldn’t get more magical, the FULL moon came out in all it’s glory and sparkled over the river!

This is the day Sarah and Eric became Mr. & Mrs. Jackson at Historic Acres of Hershey in Pennsylvania, a gorgeous day to to celebrate!

BREAST CANCER AWARENESS // YORK PA

This is my beautiful friend, Connie.  

 She was recently diagnosed with breast cancer and today is her last chemo treatment.  I rejoice in knowing her treatment is coming to an end, surgery is scheduled soon and recovery is in sight.  I know she’s had to find “a new normal”.. I can’t imagine what it’s like to hear those 6 letters

“ c a n c e r “ 

 Sure, I’ve had skin cancer a couple of times, but my couple of inches of scars pales in comparison to this battle that has changed her year.  

 They recently purchased their dream home and I was able to capture her fun beautiful family and her golden locks a few weeks before shaving her head. (I think she looks super bad a** with a shaved head by the way)  

 Love is a powerful thing - it heals and it brings people together.  I’m so grateful to love Connie and her family and for her to love mine.  

 We’re all fighting some kind of battle, this is hers.  She’s a fighter and she WILL win.

I first met these loves from Maryland when we photographed their engagement session many years ago. I’ve been able to celebrate and capture their wedding and document each tiny new life. It’s so special to be part of watching their family grow and to document it all. Cheers to many more years and seeing these fun boys grow up.

GLAMPFIRE MINI SESSIONS - ULTIMATE DATE NIGHT

We’re super excited to invite you into our backyard for Glampfire Sessions this fall! It’s the ultimate date night! We welcome you make a date (or friends date) and come chill by the fire and get amazing photos!

Details: We only do one Glampfire Session an evening, spots are very limited so head over to the CONTACT form and send me a message so we can chat dates.

Price: $250

What do you get: A fun date night out by the campfire - Show up with your significant other and bring along beer/wine or cocoa/coffee and hang out for some rad images. You’ll get a private online gallery with rights to download and use all of your images + all of your pictures printed as 4x6’s for you to show off!

Where: Our backyard space located in North York, Manchester Pa.

Who is this good for? There will be fire, candles and glass lanterns so it’s best to keep these sessions for adults. However, if you would like to bring your family, we can still do that - we would just remove the lanterns and live flames except the campfire. Perfect for engagement, anniversary, a fun date night out or a surprise gift.

** Recommended perfect date night: Come take your fun pictures and enjoy the glampfire experience while enjoying a cocktail, then then head out for dinner reservations. Session will last about an hour. We’ll shoot when the sun starts to go down until the lights start glowing.

A glimpse into my personal life….

Hey y’all ! I’m officially back from Maternity leave and shooting part time. I’ve been shooting recently and have so many fresh faces to share with you but first I’d like to share the most precious… I’d like to introduce our daughter. These images were captured by our dear friend Chelsea Foster the day our babe was born. I was freshly out of surgery and she was only about 3 hours old in these pictures.

We went the whole pregnancy not finding out if we were having a son or daughter and that was SO VERY EXCITING!! We were surprised when we were told we had an 8.7 lb baby girl and she was 21 1/2 “ long! She’s had her own plans of being independent and “going against the grain” since before birth, haha. I had originally planned on an all natural birth but she was breech the entire pregnancy leading to a scheduled c-section for her birth. After 5 days in the hospital it was nice to get home and figure our our new normal. I’d like to introduce Miss Atlas Ruby Elizabeth Keefer, the sweetest little face we’ve ever seen. She will soon become the most photographed face in front of my lens…. but for now I’ve been balancing “survival mode” in the newborn phase (lol) and being in the moment vs. always having my camera in her face.

VAIL COLORADO FAMILY PHOTOGRAPHER

Colorado is absolutely beautiful.  On a whim we decided within an hour to rent a car and leave the next day from Northern California to meet Cochise, Sara, William and Violet in Vail Colorado for this fun adventure session.  They vacation in Colorado often, it was really fun to capture them exploring their "happy place".   The Piney River Ranch at Mt. Powell was the perfect setting.  

RV CAMPING LIFESTYLE SESSION

I love it when strangers become friends!  We started chatting with Kevin and Mandy from @188sqft about a year ago and since then have met them all across the country.  Turns out Mandy is also a wedding photographer from Pennsylvania and lives on the road full time in an RV too.  They recently camped next to us for a month in Northern California.  It was fun capturing their adorable little home on wheels and 4 pets in this lifestyle session.

MINI SESSION DETAILS 

Dates?  From September 26th - October 8th (weather permitting) 

Location?  York Pa / beautiful outdoor location to be determined closer to date.

Is this a themed session?  This is a great flexible time during the seasons.  I have some clients wanting a late summer feel, a fall theme, and some want to use these photos as their Christmas photos.  Therefore, we'll be shooting in a neutral outdoor nature background so you can use them for anything, yay!  You are welcome to bring along your own props based on your vision. For example, for a fall themed you can bring along pumpkins and a fun fall blanket... For Christmas you can dress in holiday colors and bring along simple Christmas props.  Given the time frame of only 25 minutes just remember to keep it simple as there may not be tons of time to set up a huge scene  :)  If you're unsure, no worries.  This doesn't have to fall under a themed category, we can keep it neutral for classic timeless images.  

Length of session?  25 minutes

Price?  $200 ($180 if you pay with green cash) 

What do I get?  A fun session and 15 beautifully edited images in your own online gallery for you to share, download and print as much as you want. 

What type of portraits qualify for a mini session?  Family (not extended), engagement, business profile headshots, children, puppies, and maternity. 

What else do I need to know?  Please be on time for your session.  It’s important for us to stick to the blocked time schedule so that everyone can fairly be accommodated.  Feel free to arrive early and hang out to let the kids decompress from the ride (you too, haha)  Each session is a fun, breezy 25 minutes.  Payment is due in full at the time of session.
