A glimpse into my personal life….

Hey y’all ! I’m officially back from Maternity leave and shooting part time. I’ve been shooting recently and have so many fresh faces to share with you but first I’d like to share the most precious… I’d like to introduce our daughter. These images were captured by our dear friend Chelsea Foster the day our babe was born. I was freshly out of surgery and she was only about 3 hours old in these pictures.

We went the whole pregnancy not finding out if we were having a son or daughter and that was SO VERY EXCITING!! We were surprised when we were told we had an 8.7 lb baby girl and she was 21 1/2 “ long! She’s had her own plans of being independent and “going against the grain” since before birth, haha. I had originally planned on an all natural birth but she was breech the entire pregnancy leading to a scheduled c-section for her birth. After 5 days in the hospital it was nice to get home and figure our our new normal. I’d like to introduce Miss Atlas Ruby Elizabeth Keefer, the sweetest little face we’ve ever seen. She will soon become the most photographed face in front of my lens…. but for now I’ve been balancing “survival mode” in the newborn phase (lol) and being in the moment vs. always having my camera in her face.

There's plenty of books, sites and videos to teach you about shutter speeds, f-stops and off camera flash, let's chat about capturing true candid moments and creating a photograph with soul.   Learning to take great photographs takes time (a lot of it), discipline, and real life education.  This will jump start you and put you way ahead.   

Price $225  (This is less than the price of a normal session.. so you're basically getting pictures and all the education for less than a session fee!  Yay!! )

ANNIVERSARY WEEKEND | EXPLORE > A PERSONAL POST

      As a wedding/ lifestyle photographer we have great weekends, we're a part of so many celebrations and I feel so fortunate to document your lives.... but I have a problem.  I take personal pictures (sometimes) and let them go to the wayside and never spend time working on anything for us. ( shame face, our honeymoon pictures are still on a memory card from 2 years ago!)  

       I haven't taken a true day off in ?? .. well, I have no idea how long it's been.  A day where I'm not glued to my computer or not checking the gmail app on my phone.  Having 2 days to disconnect where my phone was not in my pocket or constantly in front of me was wonderful!  I feel rejuvenated and inspired.  My husband and I headed out on our motorcycles to celebrate life and our anniversary this weekend.  I'm going to challenge myself to start sharing more of our little adventures so our family and friends can see and hopefully inspire others to get out there in the world and breathe some fresh air, do something you've never done.  We headed towards State College with backpacks and no plans.... here's a peek into what we saw... 

 HISTORIC PENN'S CAVE ... " America's only all water cavern and wildlife park!"

Feeling like I got some real "rider-cred" this weekend and passed the point of being a "fair weather rider".  When we left Friday it was 70 degrees, return trip from State College area.. LOWER 40'S and cloudy !!!  Thankfully Penn's Cave sold clothing so we looked like decked out super tourist for the ride home.  No shame in putting souvenir pants on top of my jeans lookin' like a real biker! hahaha.  

After we thawed out, did some house chores, I set up our new ENO hammocks to test out... unfortunately it was about freezing temps so we couldn't hang out long..... I can't wait to actually camp/sleep in these one day!  

We should really make the time to slow down and actually enjoy our environment.... This weekend with my best friend was priceless, I am so very grateful for the time and laughter.

I had so much fun with these ladies at Macy's first birthday shoot.  It really is the coolest thing to know someone, see them get engaged, shoot their wedding, newborn, and then watch their children grow and document it. I'm so grateful for these opportunities.    *Love y'all*

Meet Kimberley... I had the pleasure of meeting her and photographing LuLaRoe clothing last month and had so much fun!  You can check out her Facebook page at www.facebook.com/lularoekimberlyemlet and click on the "shop now" button to join her VIP shopping group and shop select styles from her ever-changing inventory (LLR only produces a 1000 pieces of clothing per print, so the looks are always fresh!) I just got one of the dresses and absolutely love it!  My dress was perfect for a recent wedding and EVEN HAS POCKETS!!! . The best way to shop is to host a Pop-Up Boutique and let her bring her entire inventory (300 pieces and growing!) to your house [or work or business] and shop with your friends. There are no sales pitches or ordering from catalogs. Boutiques are held open-house style; so girls just pop in, shop, try things on, and take home whatever they want! Then, you as the host, earn $25 to spend for every 10 items that are sold (leggings count as half an item)! It's super easy and fun!   For those of you who know me, you know me as Trinity...of SummerHouse Photography.  I started my business in 2007 and it has been a crazy, wild, challenging and rewarding ride!  I can’t imagine myself doing anyting else in life and I feel so fortunate to express myself creatively through each of my amazing clients.

I wanted my branding to be a reflection of me… crazy fun, vibrant, and full of life. I hired the talented graphic designer Chelsea Foster-Hilt (www.chelseafosterhilt.com) to take my ideas and make them a magical reality. Chelsea over delivered and blew my mind right outside my own box!  I highly recommend her for all of your rebranding or graphic design needs, I couldn’t be more pleased with all she has done to transform my look down to my contracts, contact forms, invoices, etc.  

HERE'S WHAT IT MEANS >>>     Each portion of the brand has significance and It was important for me to incorporate nature.  The constellation in the back is the outline of Aries which represents my birth month, March.  The color blocks are a geometric interpretation of a magical colorful galaxy sky.  The trees are a representation of my love for nature and the forests.  The biggest change is dropping SummerHouse and simply using my name.  I couldn’t be more excited about the representation, the packaging, and the glitter details that tie my new image together.  It feels awesome to truly express myself down to the final details of my business. 

Change is exciting!  I can’t wait for you to experience the new boutique packaging. Thank you for being part of my journey, I am so thankful for each and every one of you.
